Provide more tools to prosecutors by increasing penalties for certain crimes, making it easier to prosecute retail theft and target gang violence in New York State.

Require lifetime parole supervision for violent sex offenders and prohibit their early release.

Strengthen coordination with State, federal, and local law enforcement to protect our communities and secure our borders.

Prohibit certain sex offenders from voting at a school or facility for children.

Target drug manufacturers and dealers to keep drugs out of our neighborhoods.

Properly fund law enforcement agencies.

Public Safety

Affordability

Eliminate State Sales Tax on everyday items and increase take-home pay for workers.

Require a 2/3 vote of both houses of the Legislature to impose, increase, or extend any State tax.

Establish a division to review and make recommendations for elimination of costly regulations driving up consumer costs.

Expand the New York State value of the Earned Income Tax Credit from 30% to 45% of the federal amount.

Make the first $100,000 of a private pension non-taxable.

HealthCare

Improve outreach services and explore mobile clinics.

Improve access and availability of telehealth services.

Examine efforts to recruit and retain the rural health workforce.

Expand healthcare and mental health services for all New Yorkers, especially in rural and underserved areas.

Energy

Direct the PSC to commission a full cost-benefit analysis of CLCPA mandates by an independent third-party contractor.

 

Require annual reporting on State-mandated energy programs to give New Yorkers an accurate breakdown of why their energy bills are so high.

Protect the right of New Yorkers to keep their gas stoves and appliances.

Increase zero-emission nuclear energy and allow for the continued production of natural gas.

Allow school districts to opt-out of the zero-emission school bus

mandate that places a tremendous burden on our power grid and forces unreasonable costs on taxpayers.

Allow for continued use of fossil fuel-combusting equipment and building systems in new/existing construction by prohibiting the elimination of building systems or equipment used for the combustion of fossil fuels, including natural gas, propane, and fuel oil.

Exempt the burning of wood for recreation, building heating, and cooking from greenhouse gas emission reduction requirements.

Agriculture

Increase the number of members on the Farm Laborers Wage Board from three to five and add as members the Commissioner of Agriculture and Markets and a member appointed by the Dean of Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Repeal the Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act provisions that allowed for collective bargaining of farm workers.

Establish the New York Food Insecurity, Farm Resiliency, and Rural Poverty Initiative to provide financial assistance in the form of matching grants, hiring assistance, purchasing assistance, tax

credits, tax exemptions, and reimbursements.

Cellular Broadband

Eliminate cellular “dead zones” in the North Country, which cause critical public safety issues.

Work creatively and collaboratively with New York State and our partners in the federal government to identify grants and other funding resources to facilitate this initiative.
